Conference Scientific Advisor
We seek a proactive Conference Scientific Advisor to enhance our global academic events. Responsibilities include setting event guidelines, monitoring industry updates, engaging with authoritative organizations and forming a scientific advisory board. You’ll conduct interviews, create reports, support PR issue resolution, and develop strategies to drive the growth of our conference team.
As a Conference Scientific Advisor you will:
- Establish guidelines for company-wide events to enhance a professional image of a global academic publisher.
- Monitor the online news/resources to check the updates on suspicious conference organizations;
- Apply to join key authoritative organizations and advocate for MDPI events.
- Establish scientific advisory board for conferences, composed of external scholars, to provide suggestions and maintain ongoing relationships through regular meetings.
- Conduct interviews with attendees, chairs, speakers, and key opinion leaders (KOLs) involved in the conference, and generate content, including qualitative and quantitative analysis reports on conference-related topics.
- Provide support in resolving regional PR issues, if applicable.
- Develop strategies and propose potential solutions to enhance the growth of the conference team.
Requirements:
- PhD degree holder in a scientific field;
- Published at least 3 research papers is considered a plus;
- Had extensive experience in attending academic conferences;
- Outspoken and easy going;
- Experience in organizing events is preferred;
- Experience in meeting scholars online;
- Strategic thinking.
