HR Generalist
Job summary
We are looking for a proactive and highly organized HR Generalist to join our HR Department. This full-time, on-site position, based in Bucharest, Romania, involves performing a wide range of HR tasks, including recruitment support, employee relations, compliance, and administrative activities. The ideal candidate will take ownership of HR processes, ensuring seamless coordination and contributing to the company’s growth and employee satisfaction.
As an HR Generalist, you will:
Employee Administration:
- Create employment contracts, addendums, and ensure compliance with local labor laws.
- Issue various employee certificates upon request.
- Schedule labor medicine appointments for hiring and periodical medical exams.
- Maintain and update databases and hard-copy employee documents.
- Monitor employee documentation to ensure validity and compliance.
- Prepare updates for benefits providers and handle monthly reporting in collaboration with the hiring team.
Recruitment & Onboarding:
- Offer recruitment support, including screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
- Conduct new employee onboarding to ensure smooth integration.
- Assist in implementing employer branding initiatives to attract top talent.
Employee Relations:
- Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries, resolving concerns in a professional and confidential manner.
- Support team leads in conducting performance evaluations and implementing development plans.
- Assist in organizing team-building events, employee engagement activities, and wellness initiatives.
Compliance & Payroll Support:
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies through regular audits.
- Provide accurate data (e.g., leaves, benefits, attendance) to support payroll activities.
- Assist in implementing and updating HR policies and procedures as needed.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reports related to HR metrics, such as turnover, absenteeism, and recruitment progress.
- Analyze trends and provide insights to improve HR processes and employee satisfaction.
Other Responsibilities:
- Support the negotiation and renewal of employee benefits packages.
- Collaborate with management on special projects, such as employee surveys or training programs.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in HR to ensure continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or a similar field.
- Experience: At least 4 years of experience in HR, with exposure to multiple HR functions.
- Advanced knowledge of Romanian labor law and HR best practices.
Skills: - Excellent written and spoken English skills.

- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Tech-savvy, with proficiency in HR tools and Microsoft Office.
